Sarasota is located between Manatee County to the North, and Charlotte County to the south. Together, this area is Florida's third-fastest growing major market. With over 600,000 people, the Sarasota/Manatee/Charlotte area is one of the largest, most affluent markets in Florida. Sarasota has a large population of retirement age people as well, about a third of the population, but the fastest-growing segment of the market is middle-aged adults and their children. It has approximately 1/4 the population of the Tampa/St. Petersburg area.

One drive down Gulfstream Avenue, Longboat Key, or Siesta Key and you will easily see the beauty Sarasota has to offer. Sarasota Bay is gorgeous, and the brilliant white sand of Longboat, Lido, and Siesta beaches will leave a lasting impression. Tall condominiums line the downtown streets, and just down the way is the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.
